WODAABE earrings carry with them a deep African heritage and ancestry. They are made from a gold-plated silver hoop, seed, and a green crystal Touareg cross that Wodaabe women from Niger use, hence their name. This piece is used especially during the Geerewol, a festival that celebrates the beginning of the rainy season. According to tradition in the Wodaabe tribe, it is women who have the power, and that same power is what we now want to transmit with these special earrings.
